Robyn and Tom’s Wedding
Years ago, Robyn, a friend of mine, made me promise I’d photograph her wedding one day. Back then, neither of us knew when that day would come. But then she met Tom.
Their wedding in Northallerton was everything I hoped it would be for her: joyful, honest, and full of love. The ceremony took place at New Life Baptist, with personal vows and meaningful touches that made it feel truly theirs. Robyn and Tom were beaming the whole way through, and so was I behind the camera.
Afterwards, everyone gathered for afternoon tea, the sun breaking through just enough to warm the air. There was such a lovely calm to it all, people laughing, reconnecting, being present. Then we moved to East Harlsey Village Hall for the evening: heartfelt speeches, a few rounds of Kub on the grass, and the kind of easy happiness that lingers long after the day ends.
Being asked to photograph a friend’s wedding is a real privilege, and this one meant the world. Robyn and Tom, thank you for trusting me to tell this part of your story. I’ll never forget it.
