Shaun and Dawn Celtic Wedding

Not every couple needs a big, traditional day. Shaun and Dawn quietly eloped in New York earlier this year, just the two of them, exactly as they wanted. Their Scottish wedding celebration came a little later, with a relaxed reception at The Georgian Hotel in Coatbridge, surrounded by the people who matter most.

Before the festivities got underway, we took a small detour to a place that holds a lot of meaning for Shaun. As a lifelong Celtic supporter, having wedding photos at Celtic Park was high on the wish list.

We’d originally planned to keep it simple, just outside the stadium. But after a few kind conversations and a bit of good timing, we ended up pitch side for a (relatively) quiet moment in a special place, made even better by the unexpected access.

Back in Coatbridge, the couple hosted a laid-back meal with their closest friends and family. It was the kind of reception where you can simply be with your people: no fuss, no stress, just love and connection. Later, the party opened up to evening guests, and the energy gently shifted into celebration mode.

It was one of those days that didn’t try too hard, and didn’t need to. Real, relaxed, and totally them.
