The afternoon at Seaburn Beach was bright and full of warmth. The sand stretched out golden in the sun, the tide moved in and out with its steady rhythm, and Sean and Lauren walked together as if the whole shoreline belonged to them.
They laughed constantly, the kind of laughter that bubbles up without thought. Hand in hand, they wandered across the sand and into the shallows, pausing now and then just to look at each other. Nothing forced or staged, simply the joy of being side by side.
What struck me most was how at home they seemed together. Home isn’t only a place with walls and doors, it can be love, comfort, and belonging. Wherever you are, when you are together, you are home.
