The Photography Gear I use for Capturing Unforgettable Weddings

Weddings are a once-in-a-lifetime event, and capturing every precious moment requires the right gear. As a Glasgow wedding photographer specialising in candid photography, I focus on capturing the real, natural, and authentic moments. Here’s a rundown of the equipment I rely on to ensure I deliver stunning photos every time.

Cameras

1. Primary Camera: Fuji XT5

Why I Use It: The Fuji XT5 is my go-to camera for its remarkable image quality and versatility. Its 40MP sensor delivers crisp, detailed images, making it perfect for wedding photography where every detail matters.

2. Secondary Camera: Fuji XT3

Why I Use It: The XT3 serves as a reliable second with its excellent performance and robust build. It shares many of the same characteristics as the XT5, ensuring consistency in my shots.

1. Fujinon 56mm f/1.2

Why I Use It: This lens is a staple in my kit, often attached to my XT5. The 56mm focal length is perfect for portrait shots, providing beautiful background bokeh and exceptional sharpness.

2. Fujinon 23mm f/1.4

3. Fujinon 16mm f/2

1. Godox AD200Pro

Why I Use It: The AD200Pro is a powerful and versatile flash that provides ample lighting for various situations. It’s compact and easy to use, making it perfect for wedding photography.

2. Godox V860III F

Why I Use It: This flash is great for on-camera use, providing consistent and reliable lighting. Its TTL capability ensures accurate exposure, which is crucial for fast-paced wedding shoots.
