What It’s Like Working With Me

More than just your photographer — someone who’s got your back.

When people talk about choosing a wedding photographer, it’s easy to focus on the photos. And don’t get me wrong — you’ll get beautiful, honest images that tell your story. But my job is about more than what happens behind the camera.

I’m there to serve — to help, to capture, to collaborate. To support you both from the moment you book to the final gallery delivery. I’m not just a supplier ticking off a shot list; I’m someone in your corner, making the day easier, calmer, and more enjoyable — with great photos at the end.

From First Coffee to Wedding Day

It all starts with a chat. Nothing formal — just a coffee to see if we’re the right fit. You’ll get to ask questions, tell me a bit about your plans, and I’ll explain how I work. I want you to feel totally at ease, especially if the thought of being in front of a camera makes you squirm. You don’t need to “act natural” — you are natural when you’re comfortable, and that’s what I aim for.

If you book, we’ll plan your engagement shoot. It’s not just a chance to get some cracking photos (though you will) — it’s about getting used to the camera and, more importantly, having a laugh together. By the time your wedding comes around, we’ll feel like mates — not strangers.

On the Day — I’ve Got You

I’ll usually arrive around 9am, while you’re getting ready. I’ll say hi, check in, and start capturing the calm (or chaos) of the morning. I’ll keep an eye on the lighting, help keep things tidy for photos, and jump in if you need a hand with anything. Buttonholes, ties, rogue shoes — I’ve seen it all.

Once the ceremony kicks off, I slip into wedding ninja mode — quietly capturing all the big moments, and the little ones you might miss. Whether it’s a glance, a tear, or your gran busting moves on the dance floor, I’ll be there for it.

Couple shots? Super relaxed. No awkward posing, no disappearing for ages. We’ll sneak off for 10–15 minutes when the light’s right, usually in the evening, and you’ll get a breather to just enjoy being together.

After the Day

You won’t be left waiting months to relive it all. Within two days, I’ll send over a sneak peek of 5–10 images so you’ve got something to share (or just sob over with a cup of tea). And your full gallery? Delivered within two weeks — every shot edited with care and ready to download, print, or plaster all over your walls.

You’ll also receive a custom album design — no hard sell, no pressure to buy, just something lovely to look through and keep if you choose to. It’s your story, and I want to help you remember it well.
