I’m based in East Kilbride, about twenty minutes from the city centre. Close enough to get to know Glasgow well, and to be there early on your wedding morning.

From the West End to the south side, city hotels to country venues just outside, a Glasgow wedding can get busy. I know how to find a quiet corner for a breather, and what to do when the rain comes on.

That means less time working things out on the day, and more time for you to be with your people.

Meeting up is easy too. A coffee in town, a quick look round your venue, or a walk in the park before the wedding. Just a chat, no big plans.

Hi, I’m Steven. I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in East Kilbride, just south of Glasgow.

Most couples tell me the same thing over that first coffee. We hate having our photos taken. If that’s you, you’re in good company.

I work quietly. I follow the day as it unfolds and photograph what actually happens. The nerves in the car on the way. Your pals giving it everything at the ceilidh. The two of you sneaking a minute alone.

When a little guidance helps, I’ll give it. Then I step back and let you get on with your day.

I take on only a handful of weddings each year, so I can give each one my full attention.

The first coffee is on me. No contracts until we both know it’s a fit.

Coffee, first

Before any contracts or deposits, we meet for a coffee, in Glasgow or wherever suits you. If we click, we book your date. If not, no hard feelings.

Planning, together

We talk through your plans, your timings and anything you’re worried about. Fancy an engagement shoot first? Kelvingrove Park or the Botanic Gardens are perfect for it.

I arrive calm and quietly get to work. No shot list, no directing, no clock-watching. You stay present with your people.

A few sneak peeks within 24 hours. Then your full gallery within two weeks, with as many photos as it takes to tell your story properly.

Got Questions?

Family group shots, yes. We plan a short list before the day and get them done in about 15 minutes. Then intentional portraits, fifteen to thirty minutes with off-camera flash, just the two of you. A little guidance, a few prompts, then you’re just yourselves again. The rest of the day, I photograph what actually happens.

We meet for a coffee first, on me, so we both know it’s a good fit. Then a 20% deposit and contract secures your date. The rest is due four weeks before the wedding, and payment plans are no bother.

Elopements are £850, half days £1,000, full days £1,600 and The Full Story is £2,000. No hourly clock, no hidden extras.

A handful of sneak peeks land within 24 hours. Your full gallery is ready within two weeks, with as many photos as it takes to tell your story, each edited naturally. Every couple also gets a private online premiere of their slideshow, with the gallery landing the moment it ends.

Most of my couples are. That’s why I like to meet up before the day, and an engagement shoot helps too if you fancy one. By the wedding I’m a familiar face rather than a stranger with a lens.

More than okay. Lots of my couples are introverts, anxious, or wired a bit differently. Tell me what helps. Knowing the plan in advance, quieter moments, less time in the spotlight. I’ll work around you, not the other way round. Nobody needs to perform.

I’m based in East Kilbride, about twenty minutes from Glasgow, so the city and the surrounding areas are local for me. The West End, the south side, Paisley, Hamilton and Coatbridge are all close by. I also cover Edinburgh, the rest of Scotland and northern England. We’ll confirm any travel details before you book.
